Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in compliance with Japanese accounting standards.
- Regularly reconcile exchange accounts, bank accounts, crypto wallets, and general ledger.
- Manage the accounting and reporting of cryptocurrency transactions.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and assist with audits.
- Provide financial analysis and insights into cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with local and global regulatory requirements.
- Handle tax-related matters including preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Collaborate with the global finance team and other departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounting.
- Strong communication skills in English and Japanese.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
