Job description
Coinbase is a remote-first, but not remote-only company. Expect to get together quarterly for intense in-person working sessions called “surges.”
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade data models and pipelines.
- Build data quality checks, validation logic, and monitoring.
- Partner with upstream engineering teams to fix data gaps.
- Support live regulatory exams and audits with timely data.
- Automate recurring manual workflows into scalable pipelines.
- Perform front-line on-call duties and maintain documentation.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with production data pipelines and data models.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, dbt, Airflow, and modern warehouse architecture.
- Experience with data modeling patterns and building certified data models.
- Track record implementing data quality frameworks.
- Ability to work independently and drive foundational data work.
- Utilizes generative AI responsibly.
Conditions
- Target annual base salary: $90K-$150K.
