Job description
We, Game Art Pioneers, are one of the few companies in Russia building a comfortable development environment around Unreal Engine 5 and timely mastering the latest technologies and approaches from Epic Games, allowing us to establish a fast and flexible game development process.
Responsibilities
- Create characters for high-poly/game-ready art pipeline: humans, creatures, NPCs, key heroes
- Sculpt high-poly models in ZBrush with attention to anatomy, proportions, silhouette, and character
- Sculpt clothing, armor, accessories, and gear considering materials and physics
- Work with concepts and references, decompose and enhance ideas
- Support the visual style of the project and maintain consistent character quality
- Participate in art reviews
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Character Artist
- Strong portfolio with realistic or semi-realistic characters
- Expert knowledge of ZBrush, confident in Maya / 3ds Max / Blender
- Advanced knowledge of human anatomy: skeleton, muscles, proportions
- Strong artistic foundation: drawing, composition, silhouette, form
- Understanding of character design principles
- Understanding of retopology, UV mapping, skinning principles
- Willingness to work with a pipeline
