### Operations Management: - Monitor, maintain, and optimize all critical data center systems, including power distribution units, UPS systems, cooling infrastructure, backup generators, and fire suppression systems to ensure continuous and efficient mining operations. - Carry out basic miner repairs and maintenance, flash firmware on miners, and handle associated miner tools and equipment. - Perform general facility duties as assigned. - Support preventative maintenance schedules, performing regular inspections, cleaning, and necessary repairs on all data center equipment to prevent unplanned downtime. ### Incident Response: - Quickly identify and troubleshoot infrastructure and miner issues, coordinating with multiple teams to resolve technical problems and restore service with minimal disruption to mining activities. ### Reporting and Analysis: - Monitor and contribute to detailed performance reports, including metrics such as uptime, power usage, and environmental conditions, to assist with decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

## REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS - Beginner to intermediate knowledge of data center infrastructure, including electrical systems, cooling systems, and network architecture, specifically within the context of Bitcoin mining operations. - Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues related to power, cooling, and network systems. - Knowledge of data center best practices, standards, and maintenance procedures is preferred but not required. - Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to react quickly to critical incidents. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and team collaboration. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with safety standards, energy efficiency practices, and compliance regulations in data center operations. ## ABOUT YOU - High school diploma or equivalent. - 1-3+ years of experience in IT/computer hardware, systems/electrical engineering, network administration, and/or troubleshooting. - Bitcoin mining experience is a plus. - Proficiency in English is required. - A basic understanding of IP addressing, subnets, and small electronics or medium to low-voltage electrical systems is a plus. - Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and environments. - Physical stamina: the ability to stand for 7+ hours per day. - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. - Tolerance for harsh environmental conditions, including both indoor and outdoor settings. - Must pass a motor vehicle check. - Must have reliable transportation to and from the designated work site. - Ability to work as a member of a fast-paced, collaborative, and high-performing team is paramount to this role – your success in this role will not just come from how hard you work as an individual, but how strong of a team you help create across the facility. - Military & Veterans Encouraged to apply - Hut 8 aims to recruit experienced military Veterans who deliver top leadership abilities, a "lead from the front" mentality, and efficient communication skills to help drive success across our data centers.
