Deputy General Counsel

Truv is seeking a Deputy General Counsel to lead legal strategy, manage the legal team, and provide guidance on contracts and compliance in a remote, global environment.

### Job Responsibilities - Lead and shape the legal strategy for the company, aligning with business goals and growth plans. - Manage and develop the legal team, overseeing day-to-day legal affairs, risk management, and compliance programs. - Provide strategic legal guidance to senior leadership, including the CFO and other executives, on contracts, regulatory matters, and strategic initiatives. - Draft, negotiate, and review complex commercial agreements and partnerships with customers, vendors, and strategic partners. - Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions. - Address potential legal issues proactively, conducting risk assessments and advising on mitigation strategies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, sales, privacy, security) to support product development and go-to-market activities. - Represent the company in external legal matters, including dealing with regulators and outside counsel as needed.

### Requirements - Extensive experience in a senior legal role, preferably as Deputy General Counsel or General Counsel in a technology or fintech environment. - Strong background in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law with a track record of handling complex contracts and negotiations. - Experience building and leading a legal team and partnering with executives on strategic initiatives. - Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global, remote environment with a pragmatic, business-focused approach. - Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with a sense of humor and resilience.
