As the Director of Accounting and Reporting, you aren't just managing a function; you are the architect of our financial integrity. This is a high-impact, high-intensity role that requires you to get deep into the weeds. We are currently in a phase of heavy-lift construction.
Responsibilities
- Drive the heavy lifting of building out our accounting systems and ERP (Workday).
- Ensure our financial 'source of truth' is industrial-grade and perfectly aligned with our product reality.
- Take end-to-end ownership of the book-close process.
- Navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
- Lead your team through a phase of radical transformation.
- Act as the critical link between Finance, Product, and Risk.
- Design and implement the accounting frameworks that allow us to scale across Europe.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within a Bank or Fintech.
- A university degree with a focus on Finance, Controlling, Audit, or a related field.
- Professional Certification: Wirtschaftsprüfer, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Grit & Resilience: Mental stamina to handle the pressure of a maturing bank.
- Comfort in the Weeds: Hands-on leader who enjoys fixing broken processes.
- Technical Mastery: Profound knowledge of IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).
- Systems Architecture: Experience with reporting and closing processes.
- Decisiveness: Ability to provide clear direction in a fast-paced environment.
