- Act as the electrical SME across utility-scale solar and BESS projects - Review and validate designs from consultants and EPC contractors - Ensure systems are compliant, fit for purpose, and aligned with project requirements - Provide technical challenge to optimise performance and reliability - Review grid connection agreements and ensure DNO/TSO compliance - Oversee and validate grid studies conducted by third parties - Ensure compliance with UK Grid Code, G99/G100, and relevant standards - Provide electrical support from development through commissioning - Act as key interface between internal teams and EPC contractors - Support site activities including construction, energisation, and commissioning - Collaborate with development, construction, and asset management teams

- 4–8+ years of experience in electrical engineering within the power or renewable energy sector - Experience working on utility-scale solar, BESS, or power infrastructure projects - Strong understanding of MV/HV systems, substations, and grid connection infrastructure - Familiarity with UK grid connection processes and standards (DNO/TSO, Grid Code, G99/G100) - Experience reviewing electrical studies (load flow, fault level, protection coordination) - Exposure to commissioning and energisation of electrical systems - Ability to review and challenge third-party engineering deliverables - Strong understanding of electrical safety and compliance requirements
