Responsibilities
- Design and implement testing frameworks for control to support risk management and compliance operational effectiveness.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of existing controls to ensure effectiveness and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to manage Compliance governance framework elements including global risk appetite, control inventory, response findings, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
- Prepare detailed reports on governance performance and present findings to senior management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in governance controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA) preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in governance, risk management, compliance or audit roles within financial services with testing experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in governance and controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead initiatives to improve governance frameworks.
Conditions
- The base pay for this role is expected to be between $157,000 and $199,000 in the New York City Area.
- This role will also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance linked bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
