Head of Communications

### What you’ll do - Define and execute a long-term, global communications strategy that integrates executive, corporate, policy, internal, and product narratives into a coherent story for Paxos. - Lead media and press relations, including proactive storytelling and responsive reputation management, to return Paxos to a strong presence in key financial and crypto outlets. - Own company-wide internal and executive communications in partnership with existing internal comms and marketing, especially around high-stakes, regulated topics and major company milestones. - Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the CEO & the executive team, shaping narratives, recommendations, and decision-ready options on communications strategy and execution. - Use AI tools and systems to increase leverage in content development, research, and measurement. - Direct and coordinate external agencies, advisors, and cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality, on-message communications across regions and time zones.

### About you - 12+ years in communications with experience in senior leadership roles, including meaningful time in tech, fintech, or financial services; experience in crypto and blockchain preferred but not required. - Deep experience across multiple comms sub-functions (executive, corporate, policy/regulatory, internal, product), with clear depth in at least one and comfort overseeing all. - Proven ability to manage press and media relations and to define and execute plans that re-establish a company’s brand in key media and industry forums. - Track record of partnering closely with C-level leaders as a trusted extension of their voice. - Experience at fintech companies or banks, ideally with the last several years at a crypto-native or crypto-forward company. - Strong, existing relationships or demonstrable ability to build relationships with relevant finance/crypto reporters and outlets; ability to operate across US and international markets. - Confident, extroverted, humble personality with strong discussion and recommendation skills.
