Responsibilities

- Lead the Risk team and own the risk frameworks for the Aave Protocol.
- Coordinate with external risk service providers and set risk parameters.
- Serve as the final sign-off on collateral onboarding and liquidation performance.
- Lead a team of risk analysts, researchers, data scientists, and credit specialists.
- Ensure Aave’s risk posture remains best-in-class as the protocol scales.
- Monitor market structure changes and their implications for protocol risk.
- Drive a culture of ownership within the team.
Requirements
### Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in DeFi or crypto.
- Proven experience leading and managing a risk team.
- Deep understanding of the Aave Protocol and its risk dynamics.
- Strong grasp of market structure and portfolio risk management.
- Experience with external risk service providers.
- Excellent judgment under uncertainty and strong communication skills.
- Background in traditional finance risk management.
