Job description
At HyperHug, we create mobile games and are rapidly growing 🚀. We are currently looking for a Junior Game Designer for our flagship Oxide: Survival Island, a multiplayer survival shooter for mobile devices.
Responsibilities
- Prepare technical specifications for content (battle pass, gacha, live ops).
- Set tasks for 2D/3D and accept assets.
- Assemble and configure features in Unity.
- Work with configs, tables, and balance.
- Maintain and update documentation.
- Handle localization.
- Analyze bugs and interact with QA.
- Manage features and improvements from idea to release.
Requirements
- Relevant technical or mathematical education (mathematics, programming, game design).
- Understanding and interest in mathematics, readiness to work with calculations and formulas, basic understanding of probabilities and economics.
- Basic programming skills.
- Experience with Unity (e.g., pet projects or educational projects), ability to create a simple prototype.
- Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets.
- Extensive experience playing multiplayer games, especially Rust or MMORPGs.
- Understanding of core loop and game systems, interest in balance, progression, and economy.
- Excellent communication skills, quick learning ability, proactivity, and responsibility.
