Job description
VK is looking for a Lead Backend Developer to enhance and maintain distributed systems on their cloud platform, ensuring performance and reliability for millions of users.
Responsibilities
### Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain distributed systems and services of the cloud platform;
- Implement new product features and improve existing user scenarios for millions of users;
- Work on performance, reliability, and fault tolerance of services under high load;
- Participate in architectural design: request routing, queues, data storage, security, scaling, fault tolerance;
- Participate in assessment, decomposition, and planning of large tasks with the team;
- Conduct code reviews, participate in the development of engineering practices, maintain code quality and service stability;
- Maintain and update technical documentation;
- Collaborate with developers, adjacent teams, and other participants to agree on and implement solutions.
Requirements
### Requirements
- Commercial development experience in Go for at least 4 years;
- Experience with systems implemented on heterogeneous stacks, including different languages;
- Confident experience in development under Linux/Unix;
- Skills in working with Linux distributions (CentOS, AlmaLinux or similar);
- Experience in designing and developing high-load distributed systems and multithreaded services;
- Understanding of network protocols, client-server interaction, and the OSI model;
- Practical experience in profiling, debugging, and optimizing applications;
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes;
- Willingness to learn Lua and interact with Tarantool class DBMS;
- High level of independence, responsibility for results, and quality of technical decisions;
- Skill in building monitoring systems and system state control, experience with syslog, Grafana.
