Job description
We are looking for a Middle Security Engineer specializing in Observability & Monitoring to join our remote team in Russia.
Responsibilities
### Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure comprehensive monitoring based on Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager.
- Implement RED (Rate, Errors, Duration) and USE (Utilization, Saturation, Errors) methodologies for in-depth system analysis.
- Organize centralized logging (ELK/EFK or VictoriaMetrics) in distributed systems.
- Configure distributed tracing (Jaeger / OpenTelemetry) for monitoring microservices and identifying bottlenecks.
- Control the network stack and security at the OS level (iptables/nftables, namespaces, cgroups).
Requirements
### Requirements
- Stack: Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu), Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK, VictoriaMetrics.
- Proficient in Linux (kernel, cgroups, network filters).
- Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP) and traffic balancing.
- Experience with distributed tracing and monitoring tools for microservices architecture.
- Understanding of log aggregation and analysis principles in high-load systems.
