Job description
Plata is a Mexican high-tech fintech and digital banking project creating innovative financial products for millions of users.
Responsibilities
- Manage payroll for 130–180 employees in Cyprus
- Calculate taxes and social contributions
- Prepare and submit payroll and tax declarations
- Advise employees on payroll, taxes, and payments
- Handle non-standard payroll cases (bonuses, relocations, contract changes, etc.)
- Collaborate with People Partners, Recruiters, and external providers
- Oversee payroll processes for additional locations (Serbia/Georgia)
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with deadlines
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in payroll
- 1–2+ years of payroll experience in Cyprus
- Practical experience in calculating taxes and social contributions in Cyprus
- Experience with payroll systems
- Ability to handle a large volume of employee requests
- Strong communication skills
- Problem-solving skills for non-standard payroll cases
- English B1+
- Russian - fluent
