Job description
## About Polymarket
Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future. We're growing fast, both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.
Responsibilities
## What You'll Do
- Own the perps product roadmap, write and maintain prioritized specs with engineering, and make sure the team is always working on the highest-impact problems.
- Define the UX for margin systems, liquidations, and funding rates, translating complex mechanics into product decisions that feel simple to the trader.
- Coordinate engineering and design resources to ship perps improvements end to end, from spec to production.
- Audit trader complaints and support feedback weekly, map them to specific product gaps, and feed that signal directly into prioritization.
- Write detailed specs for new features and improvements, including edge cases, error states, and the full trader workflow.
- Partner with engineering to set realistic delivery timelines and break ambiguous problems into shippable milestones.
- Monitor product performance after shipping, identify what's working and what isn't, and iterate quickly based on trader behavior.
Requirements
## What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience shipping trading UX improvements end to end, ideally on a perps or derivatives product.
- Deep familiarity with crypto trading mechanics including funding rates, margin systems, and liquidation engines. You can speak to how these work at a product level, not just a conceptual one.
- Comfortable working directly with engineers without a PM layer in between. You know how to write a spec, run a sprint, and keep a team unblocked.
- Strong product instinct. You can walk into a trader workflow, spot what's broken or missing, and propose a fix without needing a committee to validate it.
- A user-first mindset backed by real craft. You start with behavior and pain points before features, and you have a track record of making complex financial products feel approachable.
- Ability to make sensible tradeoffs across user experience, engineering constraints, business goals, and compliance requirements without waiting for direction.
- (Plus) Personal history as an active derivatives trader. If you've managed positions, navigated liquidations, and thought about funding rates with real money on the line, that perspective will show in your work.
Conditions
## Benefits
- Competitive salary & equity
- Unlimited PTO
- Full Health, Vision, & Dental coverage
- 401k match
- Hardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories
