Job description
Avito is a leading online classifieds platform in Russia, providing a marketplace for various goods and services.
Responsibilities
- Develop the end-to-end platform: from product logic to infrastructure.
- Make architectural decisions: improve templating and markup processes, enhance storage, eliminate legacy code.
- Work with data: optimize PostgreSQL and ClickHouse, identify and eliminate bottlenecks, improve overall system performance.
- Collaborate closely with Data Science engineers and product managers to understand their needs and turn them into universal platform solutions.
- Write quality code: cover it with tests, participate in code reviews, and influence the team's engineering practices.
Requirements
- Proficient in Python 3.10+.
- Knowledge of asyncio and experience with asynchronous frameworks: aiohttp, FastAPI, or similar.
- Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL): design schemas, optimize queries, work with migrations.
- Experience with queues: Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, or similar.
- Willingness to work on frontend if necessary.
- Proficient with Git, participate in code reviews, and write tests.
- Technical English proficiency for reading documentation.
