Job description
As a Shift Leader in Maintenance, you are responsible for conducting preventive maintenance work. You coordinate and lead your team's activities regarding site and shift-related goals (system availability), continuous improvement, and project activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead a technical team from various areas based on your extensive experience. - Be the first point of contact and create a positive working atmosphere. - Make informed decisions regarding processes and measures in your shift. - Build successful business relationships with external service providers and internal stakeholders. - Responsible for the application of training materials for team development and participate in the hiring process for new employees. - Stay updated with the latest technology and seek innovations to maintain a high level of knowledge and work within the department.
Requirements
- Proven management experience with strong technical skills and extensive technical knowledge in the fields of electrotechnics, mechanics, and automation technology (e.g., industrial and automated logistics systems). - Extensive experience in control systems (PLC) and related equipment. - Training as a mechatronics technician and further qualifications (e.g., state-certified technician). - Strong communication skills to convey expertise understandably and sustainably to colleagues. - Good English skills at B2 level to facilitate communication within the team. - Ability to create reports, handle tickets, and develop work instructions and documentation for your team. - Effectively identify and coordinate with external stakeholders, build business relationships, and solve problems collaboratively. - Team player eager to work in interdisciplinary teams in a 3-shift system.
