Responsibilities
- Learn about ATS systems and international laws governing background checks.
- Help unify code (backend + frontend) and user experience (UX) across the organization.
- Collaborate with Staff Engineers and leadership to design appropriate solutions and execution plans.
- Communicate with internal and external developers to build solutions that enhance productivity.
Requirements
### Must haves:
- Advanced English (mandatory requirement) all interviews are in English.
- Availability to work in a hybrid mode in Santiago, Chile, going to the office 3 days a week.
- More than 7 years of experience in full-stack software development.
- Strong sense of ownership over your projects.
- Solid experience with Ruby (preferred), Python or Java, as well as JavaScript (React.js).
- Deep knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals: relational databases, data structures and algorithms, ORM, and REST APIs.
- Good development practices using TDD, DDD, and functional and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with microservices (and patterns like event sourcing or API Gateways).
- A player mentality with a strong bias for action: you raise the standard, move with urgency, remain resilient in ambiguity, and take responsibility for achieving meaningful results.
