Senior Software Engineer, Authentication & Authorisation (Backend)

- Own the design and delivery of significant components within Ripple's identity platform, including authentication flows, IdP integrations, and authorisation services. - Lead well-scoped projects end-to-end, making day-to-day technical decisions and bringing them to production. - Build and operate platform services on Kubernetes, with a focus on reliability, observability, and secure secret management. - Contribute to architecture discussions and technical proposals across the team and wider engineering org. - Partner with security, compliance, and product teams to deliver platform capabilities that meet their needs. - Support the development of less experienced engineers through code review, design feedback, and pairing.

- Backend engineering experience in Golang or Java, including building and operating production applications within Kubernetes environments. - Track record of taking projects from design through to production with limited supervision. - Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and LLM-based tools as part of your day-to-day engineering workflow. - Experience collaborating across teams and writing clear technical documentation. - Experience working on identity, authentication, or authorisation systems. - Familiarity with modern authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML. - Experience with policy-as-code approaches to authorisation (attribute-based, relationship-based, or hybrid).
