We are building a team of passionate creators, engineers, and innovators driven to challenge convention. Having recently closed a $2M SAFE, backed by investors ranging from the founder of MongoDB to YGG, we believe the convergence of gaming, crypto, and community is just getting started. Headed by seasoned founders (ex Riot Games, Meta), we are on a mission to broaden our game offerings beyond core crypto-native users.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, maintainable, and performant code with a strong initial focus on the Next.js front end of our core product
- Take ownership of development tasks across the stack, working as part of a collaborative agile Scrum team
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Lead DevOps-related efforts as we scale toward AWS or Google Cloud
- Propose and implement solutions to improve the product's performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Conduct peer reviews and functionally test your own code to a high standard
- Collaborate closely with product management and other stakeholders
- Adhere to internal coding and documentation standards
- Help evolve and improve our software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Actively engage in all Scrum ceremonies
- Work cross-functionally with teams such as marketing, support, and operations
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices
- Provide technical mentorship and leadership to less experienced team members
Requirements
- Legally eligible to work in the UK or Republic of Ireland
- Access to high-speed broadband (>100Mb download / >20Mb upload)
- 10+ years of professional experience as a software developer
- Strong expertise in TypeScript / JavaScript (ES6+), React.js / Next.js, Node.js
- Solid experience with SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL
- Proficiency with version control, preferably Git
- Experience working in a Scrum-based Agile environment
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Proven ability to operate in a self-directed, remote team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable taking ownership of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent industry experience
