Responsibilities
### What you'll do:
- Own the multi-year technical strategy and architecture for Coinbase's financial data pipelines, reporting systems, and operational infrastructure.
- Drive the design and delivery of new backend services in Golang.
- Lead high-stakes initiatives to improve the accuracy, timeliness, and auditability of financial data.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Compliance, and other Platform teams.
- Shape the team's technical culture by mentoring senior engineers and establishing architectural patterns.
Requirements
### Required Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years of backend software development experience.
- Led platform-building efforts that transformed fragmented services into coherent systems.
- Deep expertise in Go (or similar backend languages).
- Track record of setting technical direction across teams.
- Proven ability to translate complex financial, accounting, or compliance requirements into maintainable systems.
- Utilizes generative AI responsibly.

- Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): $218,025 — $256,500 USD.
