# Graph Use Cases The Market Map is more than a visualization — it is an analytical tool. Here is how different teams extract value from it. --- ## Competitive Landscape Mapping **Goal:** Understand who your competitors are hiring and how your company fits in the market. **How:** 1. Open the Market Map 2. Search for your company — its cluster highlights 3. Look at **neighboring clusters** — these are companies hiring for similar roles 4. Note cluster sizes — larger clusters = more aggressive hiring **Insight:** If your cluster is small compared to competitors, you may be losing talent visibility. --- ## Identifying Market Gaps **Goal:** Find underserved areas where there is demand but few quality listings. **How:** 1. Zoom out to see the full map 2. Look for **sparse areas** between dense clusters 3. These gaps represent niches with limited hiring activity 4. Cross-reference with Studio to check if demand exists but supply is low **Insight:** Gaps are opportunities — for recruiters to specialize, for job boards to target, or for companies to position themselves as leaders in emerging spaces. --- ## Tracking Company Growth **Goal:** Monitor which companies are scaling their teams. **How:** 1. Search for target companies 2. Note their **cluster size** (number of nodes = number of open positions) 3. Visit periodically to see if clusters are growing or shrinking **Insight:** A rapidly growing cluster indicates funding, product launches, or market expansion. --- ## Domain Interconnection Analysis **Goal:** Understand how different industry verticals relate to each other. **How:** 1. Enable all domain colors 2. Look at **edges between clusters** of different colors 3. Dense cross-domain connections indicate overlapping talent needs **Insight:** If DeFi and Infrastructure clusters are heavily connected, it means the same companies and roles span both domains. --- ## Talent Pool Visualization **Goal:** Assess the depth of available talent for a specific role. **How:** 1. Use the seniority filter to show only Senior+ roles 2. Toggle specific domains 3. The resulting graph shows the **senior talent demand landscape** **Insight:** Dense areas indicate high demand. Sparse areas indicate niche specializations where talent may be scarce. --- ## Quality Score Heatmap **Goal:** Find which areas of the market have the highest-quality listings. **How:** 1. Set the score threshold to 7+ 2. Observe which clusters remain dense 3. Low-score clusters disappear, revealing where quality listings concentrate **Insight:** High-quality clusters indicate professional, well-funded companies.
